We use your data exclusively to operate and improve the ParryUp™ platform. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Create and manage your account.

3. Data Security: Protection In Transit and at Rest

Securing your personal and financial information is our highest priority.

  • Encryption: All data processed by ParryUp™ is encrypted both in transit (as it travels over the internet) and at rest (when it is stored on our servers).
  • Enterprise-Grade Infrastructure: Our backend infrastructure is powered by Google Cloud Platform (GCP). These providers maintain world-class security protocols and are independently audited to meet stringent compliance standards, including ISO/IEC 27001, 27017, and 27018, as well as SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 certifications.

5. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the UK, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • The Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • The Right to Rectification: You can request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • The Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): You can ask us to delete your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes collected.
  • The Right to Restrict Processing: You can request that we limit how your data is used.
  • The Right to Data Portability: You can request your data in a structured, commonly used format to transfer it to another service.
  • The Right to Object: You can object to our processing of your personal data under certain conditions.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 8.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. Due to the operational needs of fencing clubs and the nature of the sport, historical data – including past class reservations, attendance records, payment and billing history, as well as tournament results and seeding – may be retained for extended periods for legitimate business tracking, financial compliance, and historical athletic records. When data is no longer necessary for these purposes, or upon a valid deletion request from the Data Controller, it is securely deleted or anonymized.

7. Account Eligibility and Children’s Privacy

Account Creation (18+) To create an account on ParryUp™, you must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction). By registering for an account, processing payments, or agreeing to club or tournament waivers through our platform, you represent that you are an adult legally capable of entering into binding contracts. Minors may not create their own ParryUp™ accounts.

Managing Minor Fencers ParryUp™ is designed to help families, clubs, and tournament managers easily coordinate schedules, camps, and competitions. Because we require primary account holders to be adults, we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under the age of 18.

Instead, parents or legal guardians create the primary ParryUp™ account. From there, the adult can create “dependent” profiles to manage scheduling, event registration, and billing for their minor fencers. Any personal information relating to a child (such as a name or birthdate for age-appropriate class placement or tournament eligibility) is provided solely by the consenting parent, guardian, or authorized club administrator.

Our Role with Your Fencing Club, Fencing Camp or Tournament Under privacy laws like the GDPR, ParryUp™ acts as a “Data Processor.” We provide the secure software infrastructure that local fencing clubs and tournament managers use to operate. The fencing club or tournament organizing body acts as the “Data Controller.” While we keep your data securely stored, your contract for fencing services—including any liability waivers or specific privacy practices regarding how event results are published—is directly with the fencing club or tournament organizer.

8. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, please contact us at: privacy@parryup.com. To exercise your specific GDPR rights regarding data collected by your fencing club or tournament organizers, please contact your club or tournament organizers directly, as they act as the Data Controller.
